my sad, lonely, neglected blog

by badassdadblog on October 25, 2010

Wow, it’s been way too long.

Life has been so many things lately: busy, scary, fun, hectic, frustrating, daunting, exciting, painful, amazing … and more.

But none of that has made it here. For some reason I just haven’t been inspired to write, or felt I had time to do it. Even now this post is going to be very short, as I’ve just got too many things to do.

I'm not in this photo, but I did run between this huge inflatable dude's legs.

But I wanted to at least let you all know that after just over a year of running I completed my first half marathon! I did it barefoot, as planned. I did NOT do it in under 2 hours, as I’d hoped to. And I did NOT do it injury-free. You can see all the details over at dailymile. I’ve actually been much better about posting there than here lately, so if you want to catch up a little and don’t mind reading about running, have a look over there.

Until next time!

Congratulations on that run, and good for you for sticking it out through the pain. I’m proud of you. Very impressive.

Hey,

Funny how I stumbled upon your site, was looking for something else with running – but thus is the power of Google! Just wanted to say, good for you for getting the half marathon done. Don’t worry about the time, just keep running and the time will come down. Sorry, about the injury, that is a real drag! Take your time working back into it, I have come back from injuries too soon and things only get worse.

Take care,
Dan

I started running last month and did my first 5K last weekend. I love the running but I don’t think I’ll be taking on anything more than a 5K.

Such a shame that blogs get pushed to the bottom of the list, especially when life gets more exciting – it’s the sort of stuff you can share :)
