Who’s Who

I’m Michael, AKA badassdadblog, Dad, Daddy, and sometimes just Blanchard. There are so many Michaels.

My wife is Lisa. The kids are Owen (born 2005), and Nicholas (2008). Sherman is the dog. Until shortly after Nicholas was born we had another dog, Oscar. As Owen will matter-of-factly explain, Oscar is still part of our family, even though he’s dead.

Do I Really Think I’m A Badass?

Here’s the thing. I was bassdad on Twitter and conducted a poll. I asked whether people thought my screen name rhymed with face dad or ass dad. Overwhelming response: ass dad. I play bass and sing bass so it should have been about the rock, but it was about the fish. A couple people said “you mean it’s not badassdad?” So i figured, what the hell? Hence, badassdad. But, badassdad.com was taken, as was @badassdad on Twitter, so it became badassdadblog. Yeah, it’s long. Get over it.
